Thanks for making our first-ever fun-raiser and mixer a huge success1
JJIE.org is the only journalism initiative covering issues that affect kids and the law on a daily basis.
In little more than one year, JJIE.org has grown to reach 33,000 unique monthly visitors, hosted dozens of op-ed contributors from all walks of life, implemented resources for parents, launched a multimedia series called Journeys that examines children and their struggles with tough issues, and developed Bokeh, JJIE.org’s multimedia arts site with a visual focus on children, the law and youth culture.
As many of you already know, the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange (JJIE.org) is dependent on community members like you to keep us going. What you might not know is that JJIE is actually an initiative of the Center for Sustainable Journalism at Kennesaw State University. In addition to this project, we also run a social media conference each year.
In February we will be hosting the 6th annual SoCon conference in Atlanta, and we’ve decided to invite you! Friday night, February 3, the SweetWater Brewery will host us for an evening of Brews and News, an opportunity to bring together our JJIE community members and some of the other friends of the Center for Sustainable Journalism.
For $50 you’ll get to mingle with some of the most influential people from around the southeast, as well as tour the brewery and sample their wonderful beers. You will even get your own souvenir SweetWater mug. There will also be more opportunities for you to give during our silent auction. All proceeds will go to support our Center for Sustainable Journalism at Kennesaw State and our centerpiece project, the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange .
