Daryl Khan, the New York bureau chief for the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange and for Youth Today, has been named the new director of the Urban Reporting Program at the Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York.
“Many students — including many Urban Reporting students — have come to appreciate Daryl’s nose for a good story, his focus on shoe-leather reporting and his passion for the civil rights of all New Yorkers,” said Sarah Bartlett, dean of the graduate school. “We are excited by his vision for the concentration.”
Khan has been been an adjunct professor at CUNY since 2011 and JJIE bureau chief since 2012. He previously reported for New York Newsday, The New York Times and The Boston Globe.
