Juvenile justice is a complex issue – one that affects communities in different ways. Understanding this, JJIE is working to extend coverage across the country to the regional, state and local level. The Chicago Bureau and The New York Metro Bureau are part of this effort. Each has and will be contributing in-depth reporting of national interest.
The Chicago Bureau is part of the News Lab, a not-for-profit entity, and is a partner of the JJIE in producing content from the City, Cook County, the state of Illinois and the Upper Midwest.
The New York Metro Bureau is housed at the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism and provides exclusive coverage for the JJIE from all five boroughs, as well as much of Connecticut and New Jersey.
